Edward F. Ziel Jr., 73 passed away peacefully in Phelps, WI on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born in Neenah WI, on March 21, 1950, the son of Edward Sr and Delores Mary (Debroka) Ziel.

Edward attended Manasha High School. He joined the United States Navy in 1969. He served two terms in the Mediterranean Fleet from 1969 to 1973 and 1974 to 1978.

On March 25, 1978, Edward and Liugia Galiano from Palermo Sicily got married at St Thomas Church.

Edward's hobbies were hunting and fishing. He studied martial arts for many years at Fu Chen Kung Fu in Rhinelander WI. He like to travel to Italy and the Virgin Islands. Edward had an affinity towards the open sea. After the Navy, he explored many job opportunities. He settled in Phelps WI. In 1991, he ended working at Lake Shore Inc. building cranes for the Navy after 20 plus years of working there.

Edward is survived by his wife, Liugia and his son, Alessio; sisters, Becky Tynan, Debra Schnell, Kim Hyatt, Julie Bucio; brothers, John Ziel, Thomas (Cindy), Steven (Sheryl), nieces and nephews, Lisa Snell, Reney, Luis, Lily Ann, Trajan, Wyatt, Swayer, Stephanie, Heather, Mathew, Courtney and Tamsen.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph and Larry; his grandparents, John and Rudy Dabroka, and Lawrence and Marie Ziel.
