Elaine Claire Kaster (Somers) of Dyckesville, WI, died peacefully surrounded by her loving children on June 10, 2020.. She was born on April 10, 1932 to the late Pat and Mae Somers. Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack. Together they had four children, Melanie (Mark) Kaster, Jill Layne (John) Koss, Mark (Michelene) Kaster and Denis Kaster. She was blessed with many grandchildren, Jacob (Kate), Melissa (Mohammad), John (Ellie), Spencer (Betty), Quinn, Amanda (Tom), Nicole (fiancé Kyle), Adam (Janelle), Madison, Emma, Ian (Millie) and Reid. Great grandchildren Harper, Beckett, Veda, Lila, Miles, Odette, Elsie, Eleanor, Jackson and Haven. Elaine was also preceded in death by her great grandson Cooper, sisters Muriel (George), Bea (Maurie), brother Owen Somers and brother-in-law, Tom Kuehn. Elaine is survived by her sister Barbara Kuehn who was able to spend time with her in her final weeks enjoying many laughs over their cherished memories of the great times shared together throughout their lives. Bridge Club, golf, traveling and sharing gorgeous sunsets on the bay with family and friends were a few of the many things that Elaine enjoyed. Elaine and Jack wintered in Hawaii for many years. Jack always made sure that Elaine was greeted with a beautiful Bird of Paradise flower arrangement to begin their few months away from the harsh Wisconsin winters. Elaine's final days were spent at home being lovingly cared for by her children. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Unity Hospice for so caringly guiding them through this difficult time. A Mass of Christian Burial has been scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, June 18 th at St. Louis Church in Dyckesville, WI. Visitation will precede the service from 9:00 to 11:00.
