Eleanore Mae Danforth, 82, of Oneida, WI, passed away surrounded by her family on August 11, 2026. She was born on August 14, 1943, to the late Dixon Sr. and Angeline Swamp. Eleanore was united in marriage to Richard Danforth.

She was a member of the Oneida Assembly of God Church.

After raising her family, she started working for the Oneida Library and later became the assistant director at Oneida Green Earth Library where she retired after 21 total years. She loved helping children learn to read.

In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with Richard. When they weren’t working, they were traveling together. She also loved watching the Green Bay Packers, reading, doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino, and spending time with family. She always watched wrestling with her granddaughter Dulce.

Eleanore is survived by her children, Denise (Mike) Danforth, Steven (Connie) Danforth, Angela Danforth, Rosalyn (Ociel) Danforth, Danielle Vidal-Rivera. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, her parents, children Lauren and Shaun, grandchildren Shyan, Alicia, “Baby”, Dylan, Dacian, her siblings, Clarence, Dixon Jr. “Junie”, Pheobe, and Alice “Gina”, as well as nieces and nephews, Cary, Shelly, Jason, Carla, and Richard “Ricky”.
