Elizabeth Margret Pinkert, 91, passed away peacefully on Sept 5, 2026, at home in Green Bay, WI. Beth was born in Greenleaf, Wisconsin to Marcella Lieck Haen and George H. Haen on December 21, 1934.
She was a member of St. Mary's church, Greenleaf, and graduated from St Mary's and De Pere High School. While in school, she was actively involved in 4H, became a master seamstress, and fell in love with home economics. Beth went on to attend college in Stevens Point, WI.
While attending the Brown County Fair, Elizabeth met John Pinkert, who was home on leave from the Air Force. The were married on April 28, 1958, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenleaf. They were blessed with 6 children, Mark, born at Millington Navy Station, TN; Jeffrey born in Green Bay, WI; Lawrence (Rocky) born in Cooperstown, ND; Peter born at Grand Forks AFB, ND; Shawn born at Fort Wainright, AK; and Kathleen born at Beale AFB, CA.
Beth was member of The Oaks Catholic Church and St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Allouez. Beth and John became involved with the Broadview YMCA. While there, they were responsible for creating a support group for St. John's Homeless Shelter. Beth and John helped many families to get back on their feet and find new homes. Beth and her Husband established an annual community block party to bring families together. They oversaw this for 21 years.
Elizabeth is survived by Peter (Linda) Pinkert of Crestview, FL, Shawn Pinkert of Green Bay, WI, Kathleen Pinkert (Mark) of Kewaunee, WI, and daughters-in-law, Dana Pinkert of OH, Cherly Cooper of WI, Kim Kielpikowski of WI. Beth was blessed with 9 Grandchildren: Blase Pinkert, Seth Pinkert, Gavin Pinkert, Tony Pinkert, Shannon Stapleton, Cindy Pinkert, Sy Pinkert, Sydney Kunkel, and Brianna Kay. Beth was further survived by step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Beth was proceeded in death by her parents Marcella and George Haen, in laws Emil and Verona Pinkert, husband John, sons Mark, Jeffery, Lawerance (Rocky), sisters Mary Agnes and husband Frank, Dorothey and Husband Veron, Everlyn and husband Dale, Rosemarie husband Robert, Brother Goerge and wife Karen, Sister and brother in laws, Gloria and husband Ed, Carol and husband Larry and brother in law Pat Pinkert.
Family and friends may come to call for visitation on Friday, September 18, 2026, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St Matthews St, Green Bay, WI 54301, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin immediately following visitation at 11:00AM with Fr. Bob Kabat presiding.
