Elizabeth A. "Beth" Slimmer, 98, De Pere, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016. She was born April 8, 1917 in Ripon, WI, she was the last of sixteen children to the late John and Balbina (Dorsch) Adamski. On August 26, 1943 she married Dale Slimmer in Blackwell, VA. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1985. Beth attended school in Ripon, WI and went on to nurse training at St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago, IL. She had a long nursing career until her retirement. She and Dale lived in Laona, WI where they raised their two daughters. In 1997 she moved to De Pere and became a member of OLOL. Beth is survived by her two daughters Kathleen "Kathie" Prelwitz and Elizabeth Ann "Liz" (Don) McDonald; her four grandchildren: David, Teresa "Terri" (Brian), John (Lisa), and Kris (Jodi); and her two great grandchildren: Brianna and Brandon. Beth was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents, and her siblings. Family and Friends may visit from 9:00 to 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Ave, De Pere. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. officiating. Burial will be in St. Leonard Cemetery, Laona.
