Elizabeth "Betty" (Liebergen) Verheyen, 89, Hobart, passed away peacefully Friday, January 3, 2025. She was born February 6, 1935, in Kaukauna to the late Harry and Lillian (Fritsch) Liebergen.
Betty was a 1953 graduate of Nicolet High School, De Pere.
Betty was united in marriage to Raymond Verheyen. Together they ran Ray and Betty's Gas Light Inn, Oneida. Betty was officially known as Mom Betty to her customers.
Betty and Ray enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and spending time at the farm in Daggett, MI. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida. Time with her family is what Betty cherished the most.
She is survived by her children; Suzanne Aulik, Sherry (Jim) Leanna, Jimmy (fiancé Mary) Verheyen, and Tammy (Rick) Braun.
Grandchildren; Michael (Kristin), Chad (Alexa), Alicia (Josh), Erica (Drew), Nick (Mallory), Matthew (Kim), Adam (Megan), Josh (special friend Alondra), Justin (Maggie), Brian (Jacci), Travis, and Akira.
Great grandchildren; Easton, Hailey, Ethan, Ella, Marissa, Mason, Brielle, Jordan, Sophia, Lincoln, and Deegan.
Four step grandchildren, Matt, Michael, Missy, and Mindy.
Betty is further survived by her sister-n-laws; Hun Liebergen, Mary Verheyen, Delores Verheyen, Nancy Verheyen
Brother-n-laws; Darrell (Margene) Verheyen, Bernard (Elaine) Verheyen, and Jim Devroy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 2009, and son Jerry on December 1, 2024, and her son-in-law John Aulik.
Her siblings; Lawrence "Whitey" (Hazel) Liebergen, Robert Liebergen, and Ralph (Betty) Liebergen.
Brother-n-laws & sister-n-laws; Joe (Mary) Kunesh, (Lloyd) Eileen Sigl, Cyril Verheyen, Clayton Verheyen, Fabian (Nola)Rentmeester, Clifford (Joann) Verheyen, Alvin Verheyen, John Jr. Verheyen, Harold (Lil) Verheyen, Evelyn (Bud) Guerts, Florence (Carl) Gardipee, Elaine (Alvin), Juleen (Bernie) Scary,
Judy Devroy, Cletus Verheyen, Delores Verheyen, and Elmer (Betty) Verheyen.
Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 145 Dr. Joseph Drive, Oneida, from 9:00AM – 10:45AM Monday, January 13, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. Paul Paider officiating and assisted by Deacon Bobby Doxtator.
