Ellyn M. Baril, 62, resident of Manitowoc, passed away on June 21, 2021. The daughter of the late Garnet and Susan (Taydch) Baril was born on July 25, 1958 in Green Bay, WI. Ellyn attended West De Pere High school, graduating as an honor student, and then continued her education at NWTC.
Ellyn then went on to work for Kohler Company for 31 years and worked at Lakeshore Technical College part-time for 16 years.
Ellyn was married to Bruce Siebert on November 19, 1977 and had two children (Travis and Kelly Siebert.) Later in her life she was remarried to Jerome Ahmad, and she was a strong motherly influence to Ayesha and Zadil Ahmad.
Ellyn had many loves, some of which were her cats (Katy & Mokee,) music, and being an amateur (HAM) Radio Operator. KD9HIW was her general license number. She also enjoyed her yearly vacations with Becky Benzschawel in Wausau and Door County. She loved going to musicals performed by the Peninsula Players and spending time at Rib Mountain. She was extremely proud that she was able to fulfill her final wish of going to Las Vegas with her family.
Ellyn is survived by her children, Travis K. (Trish) Siebert of Sheboygan and Kelly R. (Fiancée Jennifer) Siebert of Sheboygan. Grandchildren: Christian, Samantha, T.J. Lylah, Dayton, Caleb, Jocelyn, Astoria, Ares, and Atlas. Ellyn is also survived by her siblings, Joan Clark and Phyllis (Michael) Stiles, as well as her sister-in-law, Marlene Borquardt, Brother-in-law Stuart Bianchi, and special friend Dan Vanevenhoven along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ellyn was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Fred Oretel; Sister; Jenny Prischmann, Jean Bianchi Brothers; Brian Baril, Russell Baril, Raymond Baril, Leland Baril and Harland Baril; Brother-in-law, George Vanderleest, Wayne Clark; Sister-in-law Marian and Dorothy.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, on Sunday, June 27 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. with a memorial service to immediately follow with Rev. Barb Hanke officiating.
A special thank you to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Dr. Karkera and staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Green Bay. Ellyn also had a deep appreciation for Trish and Becky for driving her to her chemo treatments in Green Bay.
