Erwin C. Koepke, 81 of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday morning May 30, 2014. He was born May 27, 1933 to the late Harold and Alvena Koepke. In 1953 he married Cinderella "Cindy" Skenandore at the Oneida United Methodist Church. Erwin was a veteran of the U.S. Air force and retired from there after 9 years with the rank of Staff Sargent. He then went to work for Miller Electric for a time, before joining the Post Office where he worked for 7 years before retiring. Erwin liked fixing cars, gardening and fishing. He also liked a good card game of Pirochle, or Smear. In his later years in was active in the Men's Club at the church.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, his children; Kevin (Betty) Koepke, Keith (Mary) Koepke, Kerry ("Bing" Gertrude) Koepke, Brenda (Peter) Mollet, Betty (Greg) Tyczkowski, Lori (Steve) Coenen, Mickey (Dave) Williquette, and Paula (Lee) Thomas. He is further survived by 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. Erwin is further survived by his siblings; Melvin (Dona) Koepke, Merle Koepke, Elaine (Gaylord) Goerl, Rosalie (Gene) Motzer, Robert (Udith) Koepke, as well as a sister in law Denise Koepke.
Erwin was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Pamela Koepke 2 grandchildren; Sarah and Keith, as well as his siblings; Della (Bud) Parthie, Leroy Koepke, Donald Koepke, and Leslie Koepke.
Friends may call at the Oneida United Methodist Church, after 4pm on Sunday June 2, 2014. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a prayer service at 7:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am on Monday at the church until time of service at 11am with Pastor Candace Ascher officiating. Full military rites to follow the service.
