Esther Mae Schinke, 102 formerly of Rockland passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011. She was born July 3, 1909 in Paige Nebraska top the late Luther and Myrtle Buxton. She was united in marriage to Henry Schinke, and he preceded her in death in 1974. Esther greatly enjoyed her country home and farming alongside her husband. She was an avid reader and writer of poetry. You could often find Esther traveling with family, friends and the Toastmistress Club. She is survived by her children Dale (Dorothy) Schinke, De Pere, Wayne (Carol) Schinke, Greenleaf, Dr. Ward Schinke, Crestline, Ca., and her daughter in law Shelia Schinke, Hatteras, North Carolina. Her nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, her son Ellsworth and six siblings. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME FROM 5 �" 8PM Sunday August 7, 2011. Visitation will continue after 9am Monday at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd. De Pere. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11am with Pastor Andrea Cain and Pastor Brian Cain officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
