Eugene "Bo" O. Corey, 91, Ashwaubenon, died Sunday evening April 22, 2018 at a local nursing home. The son of Orson and Margaret (Walker) Corey was born on April 13, 1927. He married Nora Smith at West Moravian Church on February 20, 1954.
He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. In 2011, Eugene was honored to participate in the Old Glory Honor Flight.
Eugene worked at Monroe Calculating until they closed; at that time, he retired. He spent his time caring for his wife, working part time doing inventory at local grocery stores. He enjoyed golf, dart ball league at church, singing in the choir and attending Milwaukee Brewers games with friends.
Eugene was a kind and humble man, devoted to his wife, his faith and his country. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, and he was adored and loved by his nieces and nephews. He was truly one of the "good guys," but what is our loss is Heaven's gain.
He is survived by his in-laws, Clyde (Barb) Smith and Marilyn Smith, many nieces, especially Linda, nephews and godchildren, Danny, Danielle, Jenny, Peter, and Kim.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora; parents, Orson and Margaret, parents-in-law, Howard and Joan (Peters) Smith.
