Eugene Donald Powless passed away in California on April 23, 2021. He was living in Tuolumne in California. Eugene was the youngest son of Mark and Margaret (Stevens) Powless. He was 80 years old and born in Oneida Wisconsin on September 14, 1940. Eugene grew up in Oneida and always made his way home to visit as often as possible. Eugene was proud to have retired from Ironworking over 40 years and worked from California to New York, coast to coast working on skyscrapers, bridges and many landmarks across this country. Eugene married Annette (Minor) Powless (deceased) and together they had 6 children, Rosemarie, He-nu and Nancy Renee We-ha (deceased), Ella Se-ga, George Ku-nu, Brian Hay-na (deceased), and his youngest son Eldon, Ha-ga. He also has a daughter, Teresa. Eugene had many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews that loved him. Welcoming him into the Creators land are his parents and brothers, John, Purcell, Herb and his sisters, Lorraine Cornelius, Mary Dodge, and Dorothy Mehojah. He is survived by his sister, Marj Stevens and his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Shirley Powless and his sister-in-law, Lois Powless. Friends and family may visit after 11:00AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. A Traditional service will take place at 1:00PM with burial to follow at the Oneida Sacred Burial Grounds. The family is grateful for the care and friendship provided by his good friend Zandra Bietz and family, who made his last years enjoyable and comfortable.
