Obituary

Evelyn "Peetie" (Klipstine) Hermsen, 90, passed away peacefully at Allouez Parkside Villages on February 1, 2025, after a year's long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born on October 10, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Chet and Betty (Berken) Klipstine. Loving wife of Jerry Hermsen, mother of Tom, Debbie and Bill.

She graduated from Nicolet High School, De Pere, in 1952. On August 31, 1957, she married Jerry Hermsen.

Peetie will be remembered as a small in stature woman with a big heart and great sense of humor. She loved gardening, traveling, parades and the Green Bay Packers. After raising her kids, she returned to work in a market research position from which she retired when she turned 80.

Peetie is survived by her son, Bill (Wanda); daughter-in-law Ann; brother Jim (Geert); grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chet and Betty; husband, Jerry; son, Tom; and daughter, Debbie.

Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025. A short prayer service will conclude the evening at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

Peetie's family wants to thank the nurses and staff of Allouez Parkside Villages, Heartland and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care.
