Obituary

Leola Fay Klipstine, 90, De Pere, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2016. She was born to Arthur and Ethel (Tate) Drews on March 26, 1925 in the Town of Chase. In 1945, she married Harold P. Klipstine. They raised six daughters together on the family farm. Harold preceded her in death on December 26, 2004. Fay was a devout Christian and an active member of First Congregational Church, UCC in De Pere, belonged to the Bible Study Group, Ladies Society, was an active member of the Choir. Her love of cooking and baking, especially homemade bread and other desserts, was well known. She loved Sunday dinner with all her kids and grandkids. She cooked at West De Pere School District for many years after the farming years. She and Harold enjoyed their summers at White Potato Lake and winters in Donna, Texas. Fay and her family and friends loved playing cards, especially cribbage, reading and visiting. Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, parents, Arthur and Ethel, brother Russell (Esther) Drews, sisters Naomi (Norbert) Ama, Carol (Roland) Klipstine and Delores (Peter) Vogels. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Richards, Jean (Jerry) Rentmeester, Susan (Bob) Kocken, Judy (Tony) VerKuilen, Mary (Rick) Bain, and Laura (John) VanDenElzen. She is further survived by her grandchildren, John (Carey) Richards, Lisa (Joe) Smet, Stacie Bretz, Stephanie (Shane) Hard, Joe Kocken, Amy (Roger) Seidl, Jason VerKuilen, Joshua VerKuilen, Tara (Pat) Kempen, Drew (Allison) Bain, Jacob Bain, Tyler Bain, Chris (Laura) VanDenElzen, Craig (Beth) VanDenElzen; as well as her great grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron and Briana Smet, Carly and Corey Richards, Kameron Hartstern, Chloe Bretz, Anders Hard, Mackenzie, Hunter and Dakota Kocken, Makena and Roger Paul Seidl, Mikayla, Kennedy, Elly, Noah and Nickolas VerKuilen, Aubrey and William Kempen, Ethan Bain, Taylor, Brody and Leola VanDenElzen, and Charlotte and Samantha VanDenElzen. Friends and family may call after 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 1018 Cedar Street, De Pere, until time of service.
