IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Faye
Huchro
April 8, 1938 – October 27, 2025
Faye Lee Huchro, a beloved auntie and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 87 at Westhaven Assisted Living in Brillion, WI. Born on April 8, 1938, in Oneida, WI to Clarence and Blanche (DeGroat) Polzin, Faye was the last of 26 grandchildren of Ed and Electa (Johnson) DeGroat. On September 24, 1960, Faye married the love of her life of 52 years, Theodore Huchro.
Faye loved the outdoors, camping, traveling out west, fishing and helping her mom and sisters with yardwork. She enjoyed working with her hands doing all kinds of crafts including doll making, cross stitching, quilting, restoring pictures and making Santas from paper mâché and empty coffee creamer containers. And she especially loved her four legged fur kids.
Following in her mother Blanche's footsteps, Faye was a devoted member of the Oneida United Methodist Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married and attended regularly for as long as she was able. Her church membership and church family were as important to her as her biological family was and she demonstrated her faithfulness through her regular attendance, giving and helping in any way she could, especially with the church women's group.
Faye is survived by her nieces and nephews, Greg (Mary) Wilson, Brian (Kim) Madl, Lori (Jim) Cleven, Michelle Madl, Karen (Polzin) Elliott and Dan Polzin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Huchro, her siblings and their spouses, twin brother Fred and Bonnie Polzin and sisters Carole & Joe Madl and Barbara Wilson, and nephew Dennis Madl.
Visitation will be held at Oneida United Methodist Church, N6037 Cty Rd E, De Pere, on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am followed by a traditional burial at the Oneida United Methodist Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
