Fern L. Gerlikowski, 84, of Green Bay, passed away early Friday morning, January 18, 2013. She was born on March 21, 1928 in Mill Center, WI to the late Peter and Loretta (Judkins) Lewis. On May 21, 1947 she married Raymond Gerlikowski. Fern had worked at Holzer's Drug Store in Green Bay, going on to work at Santa Maria Nursing Home for over 24 years. Fern loved to grow her roses every summer, as well as playing cards, shaking dice, and an occasional visit to the Casino. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Green Bay, and loved the annual church picnic. Above all, Fern enjoyed family time, especially outings with them.
Fern is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Rick (Vicki) Gerlikowski, Dan (Cathy) Gerlikowski, Darlene (George Bruce) House; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Lea (Don) Stascak; three sisters-in-law, Bev Lewis, Jean Lewis, and Irene Umentum. Her lifelong special friend, Elaine Hilke also survives her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Gerlikowski, as well as brothers and a sister.
Friends and family may gather at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 3pm until 7pm, when a parish prayer service will be held. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, Green Bay, from 10am until 11am when a Mass of Christian Burial will be held with Rev.
