Frances Van Kauwenberg Losey, 94, Crandon formerly of West De Pere, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 5, 2009. She was born July 27, 1914 in West De Pere to the late John and Irene (Roels) Shelter. On June 25, 1936 she married John L. Van Kauwenberg, and he preceded her in death in 1980. In 1985 she then married Frank Losey, and he preceded her in death in 1988. Frances retired from Food Service in the West De Pere School District, and then moved to Wabeno. She loved to play bingo and cook. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida. She is survived by her son Larry (Jan) Van Kauwenberg, Oneida, a daughter in law; Mary Lou Van Kauwenberg, Green Bay, as well as seven grandchildren; Patrick (Julie) Van Kauwenberg, Jerry (Linda) Van Kauwenberg, Allan (Dawn) Van Kauwenberg, Donna Van Kauwenberg and her special friend Tim, Shelly (Greg) Schaller, Shelia (Kelly) Hartleben, and Sheryl (Brian) Piechocki. Eight great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter further survive Frances. Her siblings Bernard (Margaret) Roels, John Roels, Margaret (Anthony) Diederich, three sisters in law; Mildred Roels, Patricia Roels, Lorraine (Edmund) Pasowicz, as well as Franks family and many nieces and nephews survive her. She was preceded in death by her son John Van Kauwenberg, her siblings; Donald and Norbert Roels, Sister Verona Roels, Magdalene (Fred) Van Kauwenberg, Marcella (Martin) Janz, Florence (Gabe) Diederich, as well as members of Johns and Franks families. Friends may call from 4 8pm Thursday at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, with a parish prayer service at 4pm led by Dcn. Bobby Doxtator. The visitation will continue after 9:30am Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr.
