Frankie Allen Johnson, 72, of Oneida, died unexpectedly Saturday December 19, 2015 at an Oshkosh hospital. The son of the late Bernard and Millie (Hammer) Johnson was born January 7, 1943 in Green Bay. Frankie was a member of the Brotherton Tribe. He married Theresa Novitski on November 3, 1969 at the Oneida Methodist Church, with Rev. Eldon Riggs. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of Oneida VFW Post 7784.
Frankie worked at Nicolet Paper Company and State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections in Chippewa Falls, Waupun and Green Bay. He retired August 10, 2010. He loved photography, playing cards and spending time with his family. Frankie was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Marie Johnson, one daughter, Terrie Lee (Sherard) Walker , granddaughters, Cassandra (Steven) Ludeman , Frankie Lee Johnson, his brother, Bunny (Rose) Johnson,
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Bernice R. Metoxen.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday December 23, 2015. Oneida Hymn Singers will sing after 6:30 pm. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am on Thursday at Oneida Methodist Church, N6037 County Road E, Oneida, until time of service. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Rev. Ann Bullis , officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery with Full Military and VFW Burial Rites.
