Obituary

Frederick H. Schelk, 75, of Crivitz, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012. He was born on August 9, 1937 to the late Frederick Otto and Hellen Schelk in Marinette, WI. On November 16, 1995 he married Sandi Metoxen at Christ Episcopal Church in Green Bay. Fred enjoyed Deer hunting, Nascar, making his wooden clocks, and taking them to the flea markets. Fred is survived by his wife, Sandi; his five children, Frederick Gilbert (Cindy) Schelk, Beverly (Randy Jr.) Parker, Roberta (Steve) Morency, Donnie (Karen) Schelk, Cindy (David Sr.) Tank; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; step-mother, Eleanor Schelk; a step-brother, Duane, and four step-sisters, Karen (Ivan) Buck, Gloria (Gary) Wilde, Gladys (Terry) Baun, Cheryl (Jeff) Jensen. He is further survived by his two brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Whitney (Betty) Metoxen. A gathering of family and friends will occur on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, WI from 4pm until 8pm. The Oneida Singers will perform at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1414 Shawano Avenue, Green Bay, WI, from 10am until 11am when a funeral service will be held with Pastor Bill Ochs officiating. Burial will be held at Holy Apostles Church Cemetery. Luncheon to follow after committal service. Food can be brought to the church hall.
