Fred J. Van Kauwenberg, 87, Oneida. Passed away Monday, June 16, 2025.

He was born March 1, 1938, to the late Frederick and Magdalene (Roels) Van Kauwenberg. Fred was united in marriage to Mary Lembcke November 16, 1968.

Fred and Mary took over his family's farm and ran it for many years. After selling the cows, he worked at St. John the Baptist, Seymour for 3 years.

He enjoyed watching birds at the feeder, fishing, and playing cards. It was the time spent with his family that Fred looked forward to the most.

Fred is survived by his wife Mary, children; Thomas (Penny) Van Kauwenberg, Jeanne (Brett) Simons, and grandchildren. Siblings; Irene Van Kauwenberg, Margaret (James) Baumgartner, Helen (Don) Baumgartner, Joseph (Kris) Van Kauwenberg, Ruth Letter, and Norbert (Jacalyn) Van Kauwenberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Hugene (Arlene) Van Kauwenberg, and brother-in-law Joseph Letter.

Friends may call at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Oneida on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9:00AM – 10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Burial to follow at the parish Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family.
