Obituary

Fredmond "Fritz" Hill, 75, of Oneida, WI passed away very stubbornly but peacefully on Friday , November 28 , 2014 with his family by his side in his home from complications of lifelong heart disease. He is survived by his wife Shirley and children Liane (Frank) Melchert, Todd (Michelle) Hill, Reese (Lori) Hill, Racquel (Duane Skenandore) Hill, Elaine (Wayne Metoxen) Parker, Bruce Parker, Connie (Phil) Skenandore, Randy (Geraldine) Parker, Daniel Parker, and Janice (Marvin) Jourdan. Together they have 40 grandchildren (two who were more like their children, Gavin and Dwight Hill), 65 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sis, Erma Danforth and brother Edward (Beverly) Hill. Dad was a lifelong resident of Oneida and was a very simple man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, going out for Friday night fish fry, betting on football games with his best friend Ronnie Metoxen, taking little road trips to try his luck and play slots. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing but all his fishing buddies passed away so he was not able to go as often as he would have liked. He was fortunate to have a baseball diamond in his backyard and loved watching all the games and many of the grandchildren playing tee ball, little league, softball, football, kickball etc. He enjoyed listening to music and was an avid fan of the classic outlaws like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, George Jones and others as he was a classic outlaw himself. It was a real warm day in November of 1969 when he had a major heart attack which left him disabled. It was complications from the heart disease and his being exhausted with seeing so many different doctors and being on so many medications that he decided no more, and he wanted to go home and be with his family and friends in heaven. e is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Melinda Hill, son Rory Hill, brother Erwin Hill, brother-in-law Bill Danforth, grandchild Tahnee Melchert, great grandchild Kordell Metoxen, nephews Steve, Wayno, Jerry, and Little Billy Danforth and Tim Hill, his lifelong best friend Ronnie John, and his grandparents Kay and Delia Hill and Martha and Edward Parkhurst. Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 North Tenth Street De Pere from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday December 4, 2014. Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 12:30. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Bob Brown and Deacon Bobby Doxtator, officiating. Burial to follow in Holy Apostles Cemetery. Special thank you to Unity Hospice, the family for helping him stay comfortable and showing him much patience and understanding while waiting for God to call him home and for Ronnie John to come get him, and all those who stopped over to visit, brought food and drink donations, or simply had us in their thoughts and prayers. Dad was a man of few words but up until the end, he would say thank you very much to anyone who helped him.
