IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gail
Kane
November 30, 1969 – April 26, 2024
Gail Mary Kane, 54, passed away peacefully at her residence in Green Bay, WI on Friday, April 26th, 2024, after battling a long illness.
Gail was born in Green Bay, WI on November 30th, 1969, to Marvin and Joyce (Lamers) Bougie. Growing up on her parents' dairy farm in De Pere, Wisconsin, she learned the value of family, the rhythm of hard work, and a love for animals that touched her soul. Her faith, nurtured there, became a guiding light throughout her life. She graduated from Freedom High School in Freedom, WI, in 1988. In 1991, she met her husband, Sean Kane, and they married on June 10th, 1995, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton, WI.
Upon graduating high school, Gail started working for Employers Health Insurance and later, Aurora BayCare in medical records. An avid Packers and Brewers fan, Gail enjoyed sports, reading, period dramas (Downton Abbey, Little House on the Prairie), Seinfeld, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her family. Gail possessed a rare balance: a devoted mother, friend and family member with an aura of grace and kindness, yet a fierce champion for her family, her wit and humor as sharp as her love was strong.
Gail is survived by her husband, Sean, their children, Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Bret; siblings, Linda (Darrel) Hettmann, Cynthia Bougie, Steve (Charlotte) Bougie, David (Annie) Bougie, and Sherry (Paul) VanGheem; father- and mother-in-law, Mel and Barb Kane; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and nephew, Jesse Hettmann.
Family and friends may visit Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. James Baraniak, O.Praem. officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Gail.
The family would like to thank the Ryan Funeral Home staff, all the medical professionals and caregivers who have helped so much throughout the years.
