Gail Glen Van Caster, 78, De Pere, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born July 6, 1938 in Green Bay, WI to Mark and Mary (Simon) Van Caster. On May 5, 1973 he married the former Eunice Shevy in Menominee, MI. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956. Gail spent his career working for the City of De Pere in the Street Department. He enjoyed visiting with people in nursing homes, walking, and playing chess. Gail is survived by his wife of 43 years Eunice Van Caster; son Daniel (Stacy) Van Caster; daughter Melissa (Jason) Kuchenbecker; grandchildren: Dalton and Ella Van Caster, Callico and Miller Kuchenbecker, and Kayla, Kimberly, and Merle Petersen; his sister Dona (Russ) Anderson; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Mark Van Caster, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere.
