Obituary

Gary Warren Kreuscher, 77 years old, passed peacefully from this life to the next during a brief road trip in Iowa with his son Clayton on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023. Gary was born in Racine, WI on May 9, 1946 to Warren and Bette Kreuscher.

After his graduation from Beloit Memorial High School, Gary joined the army where he spent one year in Sinop, Turkey and 2 years in Chitose, Japan as a radio intercept equipment repair man for electronic surveillance equipment in the Army Security Agency. Gary married Oriana Lee Bordeleau on August 12, 1972. They were married 51 years and had 3 sons who greatly grieve his passing.

Gary's work usually involved engines or motors. He had a keen ability to diagnose mechanical issues. He remodeled, from the ground up, the 120-year-old home in which He and Oriana resided for the last 47 years of their marriage. Gary loved hunting and fishing, antique flea markets and car shows. He was an avid reader with subjects ranging from history to homesteading. One of the things he enjoyed most in his later years was talking on the phone with his boys who were all far from home. There was seldom a day that he did not talk with one of them, sometimes for several hours. During the last 20 years of his life, he became a Bible Student, spending hours a day searching the Scriptures and then striving to live what he learned.

Gary is survived by his, wife, Oriana, his three sons, Tyson, Clayton, and CJ along with CJ's wife Cedar (Watt) and his two granddaughters Amelie and Eliana. He is also survived by his sister Janis and her husband John Pearson, and his brother Dennis and his wife Kathy, his sister-in-law Marlee and her husband Gary Weiderhoeft, and brother-in-law Leo Bordeleau and his wife Eileen and 12 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Bette (Petersen), his father Warren Kreuscher and his niece Jane Person.

Gary received a green burial and was laid to rest in the Natural Path Sanctuary in Verona WI. Our sincere thanks to Ryan Funeral Home (especially Rebekah) for handling all the arrangements for the green burial in a timely and gracious manner.
