Obituary

Gary L. Lindner, 84, Green Bay, earned his wings on Thursday, November 17, 2022, to be reunited with his wife Ronni after 25 years. He was born August 25, 1938, the youngest of four to the late Lloyd and Rachel (Eisch) Lindner. After graduating from Green Bay West High School, Gary proudly served in the USMC. After serving his country, Gary returned to Green Bay and met and married the love of his life, Veronica "Ronni" Kust on July 8, 1961, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike.

Gary and Ronni made their home on Division Street in Green Bay, where they raised their four children and made lifelong friends. He followed in his fathers' footsteps, becoming a journeyman electrician with the IBEW until his retirement.

Not one to sit idle, Gary enjoyed bowling with his son Scott and the guys, as well as couples league with Ronni. His ultimate passion was fast pitch softball, playing catcher with numerous teams, most notably The Huddle, aka The Big Red Machine. His free time was spent at his parents' cottage on Roberts Lake fishing for walleye or going to Ronni's family farm in Klondike. There he enjoyed hunting for deer, pheasant, and grouse, earning him the nickname GWH (Great White Hunter). After retiring Gary enjoyed playing more golf.

After Ronni passed in 1997, he rekindled a friendship with Julie Blank, and they spent 20 years enjoying family and traveling, especially to Long Boat Key, Fl.

He is survived by his children; Scott (Jennifer) Lindner, Lori (Lyle) Lewis, Jodi (Paul) Strenn, and Vicki Parker. Grandchildren; Jordan (Jamie) Lindner, Michael Lewis, Killian (Shannon) Strenn, Bailey (fiancé Dillion Gray) Strenn, Garrett Strenn, Nicholas (fiancée Carrie) Parker, and Thomas Parker. Great grandchildren; Aubrey Parker, and Tatum Gray. Sisters; Lois Pawelczyk, and Shirley Kelsey. He is further survived by Julie, her sons Rob and Jim, and her grandchildren, Abbey, Maddie, and Brenna.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife Ronni, her parents, Wenzel and Mary Kust, his sister Joanne Williquette, and Ronni's ten siblings. He was also preceded in death by nieces and nephews, as well close friends from the Division/Dousman Street family.
