Gary E. Thomas, 72, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday February 3, 2013. He was born July 13, 1940 in Oneida to the late VanRoy and Rosetta Thomas. He worked at Leicht Transfer & Storage. Most recently he had retired from Moore Response (RR Donnelly). Gary enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with family. An avid golfer, he was very proud of his first hole-in-one this past summer. He is survived by his long-time girlfriend Ruth Hill; children, Tracy (Karen) Thomas, Rosetta (Red) Thomas, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Thomas, Peter (Mollie) Thomas, Julie (Tom) Thomas. Grandchildren; Patricia, Joshua, Cody, Shawna, Courtney, Elizabeth, Michael, Jeffrey, Mason, Miles, Emma, Josie, Bradley, Brandon, Alan, and Brooke. His great grandchildren, Gary's brother Mike, his sisters; Jackie, Carla, Vicki, and Inez. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bruce, Bob, Sherman, and his sisters, Carol and Lillie. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere after 2pm on Thursday February 7, 2013 until the time of service at 6pm with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 5:30pm.
