Obituary

Dr. Geoffrey Gardner Zoeckler, Professor of Marketing, PHD Scholar, husband, father, grandfather passed peacefully March 23, 2017 at Aurora hospital in Green Bay. He was surrounded by his 2 sons JL Zoeckler and Geoffrey Zoeckler, daughter in laws Melodie and Kristen Zoeckler, all 7 grandaughters, Jordan, Maya, Emilie, Lily, Maddy, Eden and Bella, brother in law Bob Nolingberg, nephew Wayne Nolingberg, niece Angela Betita as well as his best friend Kay, his wife of 48 years. From his birth in Fairfield Ohio, Geoff grew up in Ohio, Virginia, Redondo Beach, California, Alaska and Maryland due to his father being a Major General in the airforce. He received his B.S. Degree from Northern Michigan University, Masters degree at California State University Long Beach, Doctorate degree was completed after attending UCLA, Oklahoma State University as well as United States International University. Being a college Professor at California State University Long Beach, Brooks College Long Beach, The College of Idaho, Lakeland College, NWTC, and St. Norbert College brought him pride and allowed him to share his talents with the world. The gifts and talents he shared with his sons, daughter in laws, grandaughter and wife will live on through the generations to come. He taught all of us the many life long lessons, like family first, everyone plays or no one plays, and if you want to learn how to do anything use the 3 P's, practice, practice, practice. He will be greatly missed and honored yet will continue to live within us as we practice the invaluable lesson he taught us. His love for his family came first, followed by muskey fishing, riding and repairing motorcycles, fixing lawn mowers, having his own fishing lure making business, creating a beer can and bottle collection where he rated and displayed each beer for 35 years as well as music where the Beatles and Bob Dylan were favorites. He was additionally inspired by the lives of Mahatma Gandhi, Muhammad Ali, and Martin Luther King Jr. Family and friends may visit from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St. De Pere. A brief memorial service will follow. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
