Obituary

George L. Cooper 57 of Green Bay passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday September 13, 2010. He was born January 31, 1953 to the late Ronald Beechtree and Lillian Cooper. George was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany. He was a good father who was very involved in his children's and grandchildren's lives. George was a gentle man and kind to all he met. He was also very artistic and could make anything out of leather. He loved to listen to music and to dance, and had a great sense of humor. His passion was to work on cars. He is survived by his children; Tanya Cooper, Elliott Cooper, Heather (Samuel) Knorr, Sheavonne Cooper, Beverly Alexander, George Cooper Jr., and Emmanuel Jennings. He is further survived by8 grandchildren with two on the way. George is also survived by his companion Shirley Jennings and her children; Corey Two Crow Jr., David Alcarse, Jeremiah Two Crow, Joshua Trevan, and Evangeline Trevan. His siblings Patricia (Harry) Baird, John "Bruce" (Martha) Zimmer, Brandon (Amelia) Cooper as well as numerous aunts uncles and cousins survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents as well as his son in law Lamont Alexander. Visitation has begun at the Brandon Cooper residence N8218 Cooper Road in Oneida. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 1:30pm Thursday at the residence followed by a memorial service at 2pm led by President Andy Summers of the Oneida LDS church. After the service their will be a Big Drum ceremony followed by a VFW service with lunch to follow at the parish hall. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
