Georgia Jo DeLaGarza, 61, of Wabash, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Ft. Wayne, IN at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1953 in Chicago, IL. On October 17, 1970 she married Henry DeLaGarza Jr. in Chicago, IL. Jo worked for many years as a slot technician for the Oneida Casino before recently moving out to Wabash, IN. Jo is survived by her mother, Phyllis (Albert) Garlow; her husband; a stepson, Henry (Doty) DeLaGarza III, and their two children; her siblings, Gerald Powless, Tracey (Richard) Denn, and Hazel ( special friend Joe Tecumseh). She is further survived by her Aunts Carmen Paquale and Patricia "Toots" Powless; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Last, but not least, Jo is survived by her little dog Elvis, her Godchild, Kristal Denn, and a special nephew, Brandon (Bidasi' Noodin) Denn. Friends and family are encouraged to gather at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Oneida, 145 St. Joseph Drive, Hobart, WI, on Sunday, September 28, 2014 beginning at 6:00pm. The Oneida Hymnal Singers will perform at 6:30pm, and a prayer service will take place at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, starting at 9:00am.
