Gerald “Jerry” James Drewiske, 91, of De Pere, Wisconsin, died September 5, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1935, to Ben and Agnes (Grohusky) Drewiske and grew up on the family dairy farm on Big Apple Road in the Town of Glenmore. He attended grammar school at Shirley School, which was a one-room schoolhouse, and graduated from De Pere High School in 1953. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army as a radar operator in Germany. After his active duty and time in the reserves, he was honorably discharged in 1963 and awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal.

He joined Local 330 of the Laborers' Union in 1962 and was a proud member for the rest of his life. As part of the union, he worked as a mason tender and was always excited to showcase the buildings he had worked on. Additionally, he ran a ceramic business with his family for many years.

Jerry married Marlene (Van Derven) Milquet on June 3, 1972, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in De Pere. Through marriage, he gained three children, and together they added three more children. At the time of Marlene’s passing, they had celebrated 51 years of marriage.

He had a green thumb and kept a large garden. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed creating beautiful pieces. He was always honing his pool game, aiming to be league champion. In retirement, he took up bicycling with a goal of 1,000 miles per summer, which he usually surpassed. He loved caring for his granddaughter, Marley, when she was a baby. He was an avid Brewers fan and auto racing enthusiast.

Jerry is survived by his six children: Amy (Jeff) Marks, Randal (Cathy) Milquet, Daniel (Ann) Milquet, Trudy Drewiske, Angie Drewiske, and Jed (Katie) Drewiske; 12 grandchildren: Kala, Kirstin, Elizabeth, Ben, Marley, Ernest, Jacoby, Pearl, Zoey, Francis, Bernard, and Louis; five great-grandchildren: Adaline, Hayden, Gabriella, Michael, and Connor; sister Connie Turriff; sister-in-law Judy Bartels; and brother-in-law Tom Van Derven. He is further survived by a special neighbor and friend, Bill Laughrin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene; his parents, Ben and Agnes; his sisters, Betty Beckers and Shirley Corrigan; and brothers-in-law Bob Beckers, Ted Turriff, and Harvey Bartels.

Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2026. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral 139 S. Madison St., Green Bay from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial will take place Tuesday afternoon at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Glenmore.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
