Gerald "Jerry" Verheyen, 56, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, December 1, 2024. He was born July 13, 1968, to Elizabeth "Betty" Verheyen and the late Raymond "Ray" Verheyen.

Prior to several health issues, Jerry was employed as a cook, something he loved to do. A wonderful and compassionate person, Jerry took care of his mom for the last three years.

Jerry is survived by his mom Betty, his special stepchildren, who he thought the world of, Matt, Michael, Missy, and Mindy. His siblings; Suzanne Aulik, Sherry (Jim) Leanna, Jimmy (Fiancé Mary) Verheyen, and Tammy (Rick) Braun. Nieces and nephews; Michael (Kristin), Chad (Alexa), Alicia (Josh), Erica (Drew), Nick (Mallory), Matthew (Kim), Adam (Megan), Josh (special friend Alondra), Justin (Maggie), Brian (Jacci), Travis, and Akira. Great nieces and nephews; Easton, Hailey, Ethan, Ella, Marissa, Mason, Brielle, Jordan, Sophia, Lincoln, Deegan, as well as his furry friend Casey.

Jerry was preceded in death by his dad Raymond, brother-in-law John Aulik, and grandparents Harry (Lillian) Liebergen, and John (Carolyn) Verheyen.

Special thanks to his nephew Brian Braun for being there and helping when Jerry needed you, as well as Susan.

A private family service has taken place.
