Gladys was a lifelong member of the St. Boniface/Our Lady of Lourdes church community, where she was involved in many charitable activities. One of her most notable church contributions was her time served as the president of the Christian Mothers Society, of which she was a longtime and active member.
In addition to her church involvement, Gladys always had a great desire to help and serve others through a variety of community organizations. She volunteered at both the Red Cross and Bellin Hospital for many years, assisting with activities for mentally and physically challenged children and adults. Gladys also spent her summers teaching and mentoring migrant workers in Northeastern Wisconsin, and helped many immigrants and St. Norbert College students by taking them into her home.
Gladys was an active participant in the lives of her family, leading many of her children's activities such as 4-H and Girl Scout groups. She also served as treasurer of the Parents Club at St. Joseph Academy. Gladys was always a great supporter of her husband's many business and community involvements. She worked alongside and helped him as he actively contributed to local organizations.
Throughout her generous life, the greatest gift that Gladys gave to her family and all who knew her was the example she set. She never lost sight of what was really important in life her family, her faith, and her friends. Gladys' unfailing optimism and loving attitude was obvious in her daily life, and continues to inspire each of us every day. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Also, we wish to say a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice for their love, care and guidance during this very trying time. Although their involvement was brief, their contribution to all of our lives was profound.
