Obituary

Glenn Julius Teske, 92, entered God's kingdom to be with his wife on Sunday evening, November 20, 2022. The son of Elmer and Bernadine (Willems) Teske was born on December 8, 1929.

Glenn grew up working on the family dairy in DePere, WI. He attended St. Norbert High School, St. John's University, and received his Masters in Social Work from Loyola University.

Glenn was an officer in the United States Navy and served his country in the Korean War.

On April 11, 1955, Glenn married Patricia Feely at the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Together, they raised ten children.

He worked as a social worker at the St. Joseph Orphanage for boys in Green Bay. He was ordained a Deacon October 29, 1977. He was a Deacon at St Boniface Parish and Our Lady of Lourdes in De Pere,WI. He also worked in Pastoral Care for St. Vincent Hospital and St Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, then served as Port Chaplain for the Seafarers Ministry. Glenn was a member of the American Legion Post 508, VFW, Optimist Club of De Pere (charter member) .

Glenn is survived by his children, Maureen (Rusty Sawyers) Teske, Dr. John (Mina) Teske, Mary (Jeffrey) Krapfl, Joseph (Gladys) Teske, Daniel (Sandy) Teske, Thomas (Ellen) Teske, Anthony Teske, Mary Ann (Jason) Engebose, Joan (Dave Smith) Teske, and Elizabeth (Dwayne) Faceson.

He is further survived by his sisters, Noreen Weber, Janice(Don) Rayala, Mary Lee Van De Hei, brothers, Gerald Teske, Richard(Karen) Teske. Sister-in-law, Carol Teske. His brother-in-law Msgr. Jim Feely; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other members of his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Patricia, daughter, Margaret Mary, parents, Elmer and Bernadine, Brothers, James, Donald and his wife Mercille, sister-in-law Mary Ann, brothers in law, Allen Weber and Robert VanDeHei.

Glenn enjoyed deer hunting with his brothers, sons and nephews, reading his Bible and devotionals daily, fishing and family vacations in Hayward.

Family and friends may visit at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida Street, Green Bay, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Military Honors will follow the Mass. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Woodside Memory Care staff and Unity Hospice for the compassionate care given to both Glenn and Patricia.
