Gordon F. Skenandore, age 71 of Oneida passed away early Christmas morning December 25, 2012 at the Anna John Nursing Home. He was born May 19, 1941 to the late Henry and Katherine Skenandore. Gordon was a lifelong resident of Oneida. He attended grade school at the Chicago Corners grade school and attended Seymour High School. He had been married to Rena Danforth. He served his country in the United States Army from September 1958 to February 1962. He served in Germany for two years, and was part of the U.S. forces stationed there during the Berlin Crisis. He was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed the Green Bay Packers. He had lived at the Oneida Elder housing for the last several years. He is survived by his ex-wife Rena, his daughter Carla, son Scott , his three grandchildren, Wesley Bridges, Morena Bridges, CArl "CJ" Bridges, his siblings, Lawrence and Minnie, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Norbert, Clarence, Glen, and Jerry.
Friends may call at the Oneida Methodist Church on Friday December 28, 2012 after 9am until time of service at 11am with Pastor Earl L. Smith officiating.
