Gregory "Howie" Howard Bain, 76, passed away on Saturday, August 3rd in Madison, WI.

Howie was born on February 20th, 1948, in De Pere, Wisconsin. He attended Donovan School and later proudly graduated from Syble Hopp.

He was the "man around town" in De Pere and could often be found riding his bicycle or working at the Mobil Gas Station where he was a beloved employee for decades. He loved the Green Bay Packers, WWE wrestling, (especially Hulk Hogan) and scratch-off lottery tickets, always winning slightly more money than he spent. Though not as renowned as his other musical siblings, he loved to belt out opera-like serenades and enjoyed playing pool and darts. He was a family favorite at Christmas when he dressed up as Santa and doled out gifts to his many nieces and nephews.

Howie was preceded in death by his parents Burton and Eunice, brothers Rick, Andy, and Pat and sister Diana. Survivors include brother Jeff and sister-in-law Anita, sister Kate and brother-in-law Tim, and nieces and nephews Kelly, Jesse, Jolene, Noah, Ben, Luke, Justin, Tobin, Amanda, Jake, Tyler, Chelsea, Emily, and Moriah as well as many other great-nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will take place for Howie at Cedar Creek Event Center, 1018 Cedar St., De Pere, WI (formerly First Congregational United Church of Christ) on Saturday, August 10th from 3-5pm. Please come and share your memories and stories of Howie. We encourage you to wear your favorite Packers attire (or Hulk Hogan if you have it)! Dinner will follow.
