Harold "Harry" VanVonderen, 87, Rhinelander, passed away Friday February 13, 2009. He was born December 23, 1921 to the late Henry and Mary (Vanden Heuvel) Van Vonderen. Harry served in the U.S. Army during WWII, having served in Africa, India, and Burma. He retired as a Stone Mason. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Virginia (Gene) Westphal, Krakow, Gary Van Vonderen, New Orleans, Rick (Vicky) Van Vonderen, De Pere, Gail (Ron) Schmidt, De Pere, and Clarence (Debbie) Van Vonderen, Antigo, as well as his special friends Jim and Becky Rottier. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Fred (Rose) Van Vonderen, Clarence Van Vonderen, Jim (Marion) Van Vonderen, and his nephew John Van Vonderen.
