Harry Manfred Kruse 77, Green Bay, Died peacefully at home after fighting a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Berlin, Germany on December 13, 1934. He came to the United States in May 1954, where he began working at Paper Converting Machine which brought him touring many countries in his early years. After 42 years at PCM he retired in 1997 as the lead supervisor of the shop. Harry enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and relaxing up north with family and friends. He maintained his yearly summer garden and fish pond in the backyard. Harry had a green thumb with any plant he touched. He loved entertaining and trying out new recipes. Harry was a Packer fan, and would never turn down a game of sheepshead or shooting a game od pool with his children and grandchildren. He loved to tinker by making his own little inventions.
Harry is survived by his two children Michael (Teresa) Kruse, and Michelle (Jeffrey) Jostad, his stepchildren, Gerald (Cathy) Kruse, Jacquelyn (Paul) Wilson, and Christine Hendricks. His ten grandchildren, Dana, Cory, Carey (Mel), Joshua, Chad (Shelly), Bill, Travis, Chance, and Garritt. His four great grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Anna, and Riley. He is further survived by one sister, Barbara Ehlert and his two nephews, Victor (Cheri) and Peter (Karrie). Special person in his life, Ingrid Bailey and special friend Judy Jirik. His caring neighbor, Beverly (Terry) Kilgore. Harry will be missed by his most beloved cats, Bobbi and Heidi who kept him company these last six years and who he spoiled rotten.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Wilhelm and Martha Kruse and his wife Barbara.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 4 8pm on Monday March 5, 2012.
