Harry Michael "Mike" Lauder, 68, Green Bay, passed away January 6, 2022. He was born on January 28, 1953 to Harry and Mildred (Neubauer) Lauder in Merrill, Wisconsin. Mike attended Sevastopol High School and NWTC. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1972 to 1976 as a Specialist Petty Officer 2nd Class (SS2). Mike also served in the Police Department of Merrill, Algoma and Brown County for a total of twenty-seven years. He retired in 2007. Mike was a dedicated volunteer with the Special Olympics (Volunteer of the Year in 2004), a member of the Green Bay Fraternal Order of Police (FOP Awards of Appreciation), Green Bay Moose Lodge (Volunteer Award), Blue Knights (Knight of the Year 2006) and the infamous Cop on Top of Shopko and Law Enforcement Torch Run. He spent a lot of time at he and Wendy's vacation home on Lake Noquebay, where he could fish, hunt and golf. He dearly loved his grandchildren and attending their activities. Mike is survived by his partner of 25 years, Wendy Hanson; children Camren (Kyle) Doherty, Christopher (Amy) Lauder, Craig Lauder and Becky (Chad) Smith; grandchildren Logan, Emma, Ryan, Justin, Gavin, Katelyn, Johann and Olivia. He is further survived by his siblings, Julie (Todd) Sternard, Bob (Shannon) Lauder, sister-in-law Joann Lauder and brothers-in-law Pen Kleinschmidt and Roy LaViolette; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs Oliver and Bailey. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mildred; sisters Jayme Kleinschmidt and Mary LaViolette; and brother Daniel Lauder. Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Roitstein and Dr. Watson of Aurora Cardiology and the awesome ICU nurses that constantly talked to Mike or played country music in spite of his condition.
