Helen M. Donovan, 85, of De Pere, WI passed away peacefully on Thursday morning October 14, 2021. She was born on December 3, 1935, in Oshkosh, WI, to Elmer and Rose (Hein) Utic. She was the youngest of 6 children.
On October 10, 1959, Helen married John J. Donovan and together they enjoyed 32 years of marriage.
As an adult Helen worked as a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, a receptionist at Beaumont Clinic and a call center specialist for The AnSer until retirement. Helen was a devout Catholic with strong faith in God, sharing that faith with her family. Helen was a member of the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club and Exchange Club. Anyone who knew Helen knows that she had an incredible personality, and her smile could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all.
Helen is survived by her children: Karen Donovan, Brian Donovan, Susan (Ken) Falish, Cindy (Mike) Nelson; her grandchildren: Kelli Jo, Ryan, Devin, Sara (Neal) Cavanaugh, Marybeth (Justin) Erickson, Olivia and David Nelson; and great grandchildren, Dean and Owen Cavanaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband John; brothers; Don, Phil, Ben, Ned and her dear sister, Mildred Banich.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM.
