Henry E. Jerovetz, Sr., 86, De Pere, died early Sunday morning at a local nursing home. Henry was born October 22, 1921 in Green Bay, a son of the late Bert and Rose (Zaruba) Jerovetz. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. On July 17, 1948 he married the former Delores Patton in St. John Catholic Church, Town of Morrison. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2001. Henry worked at Northern Paper Mill from 1946 to 1952. Henry and his wife ran Hank's Cozy Bar in De Pere from 1952 to 1960. In 1960 they built and operated the Drift Inn Bar. Henry worked there until his retirement in 1982.
Henry is survived by his two children: Henry Jr. (Peggy), De Pere and Donald, Green Bay; two grandchildren: Jesse (Karen), and Joey.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Delores; grandson Lee; and brother Harold.
Visitation for Henry will be Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
