"Henry" George Ver Kuilen, 90, of Oneida, died on Sunday, May 1, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. George was born March 27, 1921 in Little Chute, WI, a son of the late John and Anna (Vande Weyer) Ver Kuilen. On May 3, 1947, he married Marie Pitsch at St. Boniface Church.
George worked many years with De Coster and JC Bastian Construction Co. He enjoyed crafts, painting, auctions, yardwork, dancing, and playing his harmonica
George is survived by his wife Marie ; 7 daughters - Janice (Robert) Anderson, Diane Jacobson, Carol (Jack) Konkle, Bonita (Frank) Lindsley, Mary (Rich Zenisek) Ver Kuilen, Margaret (Rich) Storey, Roseann (Jerry) Olson; 6 sons - Gary (Carol) Schadrie, Patrick (Ann Mae) Schadrie, James (Connie) Ver Kuilen, David (Geraldine) Ver Kuilen, John (Mary Jo) Ver Kuilen, Theodore (Beth) Ver Kuilen; 73 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 2 sisters-in-law - Anne Ver Kuilen and Ella Ver Kuilen; Marie's family, and good friends Robert (Muriel) Frank, Evelyn Diedrick, Mark (Sue) Diedrick, John Vandenberg and Donald (Mabel) Peterson. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Ver Kuilen; two great great grandchildren; seven brothers Martin (Deliah), Antone, Sylvester, (Mary), Jake (Gertrude), John, Joseph, and Harry (Rosemary) Ver Kuilen; four sisters Anna (Albert) Vanden Bogart, Christine (William) Hermans, Marie (Ray) Britten, and Nellie Ver Kuilen; good friend Joe Diedrick; and also Marie's family members.
Friends and family may call at Immaculate Conception Parish N5589 County Rd. E, Oneida, on Thursday, May 5, 2011, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday at Immaculate Conception Parish from 10:00 am to time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
