Hubert "Hub" Wendricks, 76, of Town of Rockland, died early Wednesday morning, February 9, 2011 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family. Hubert was born October 20, 1934, in the Town of Lincoln, Kewaunee County. Hub served his country in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.
On June 4, 1960, he married the former Una Deen Hansen. He was a self-employed in the agriculture business, specializing in cattle breeding. He was a member of the Wrightstown American Legion, the Way-Morr Lions Club and the Green Bay Odd Fellows. Hub had many interests, including gardening, and playing cards with friends and family.
His family includes his wife, Una Deen, their children, Robin (Jeff) Smet, Mary (James Jr) Hagerstrom, Carolyn Caffrey, Robert (Julie) Wendricks, ten grandchildren, Eric (Heather) Smet, Angela Smet, Raquel (John) Melsha, Jesse (Katie Rueda) Hagerstrom, Nicole (Joey) Juedes, Erin Caffrey, Jenna Caffrey, Henry Caffrey, Kaylla Wendricks, Ethan Wendricks, three great grandchildren, Jayda Hagerstrom, Maia Smet, Caden Hagerstrom. He is further survived by his sister, Charlotte (Tom) Seizer, many nieces and nephews, and his sisters-in-law, Dee McRoberts, Joyce Hansen, Naomi (Elmer) Schouten, Sandy (Alan) Ellis, and a brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Hansen. He was preceded in death by his brother Myron and mother, Lucy Vertz, his parents-in-law, Wallie and Frances Hansen and two brothers-in�"law, Wallie Hansen and Maurice McRoberts.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 11, 2011. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 South Madison Street, Green Bay from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at the Church with the Rev. Larry Lange, officiating. Burial in Ft. Howard Cemetery.
