Ingrid A. Bailey, 89, De Pere, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home on June 21, 2024.
Ingrid was born in Berlin, Germany to the late Fritz Kuemmel and the late Herta (Gaetner) Kuemmel on January 14, 1935.
Ingrid immigrated to De Pere, WI. in 1954, where she became a member of St. Jonn's Lutheran Church. There she married her school sweetheart Harry M. Kruse in 1954. Ingrid became a U.S. citizen in 1963. In 1967 she married George J. Bailey.
Her job's included: Kaaps candy maker, Victorian House Supper Club, Kohl's Department Store, and WDP school lunch lady until retirement.
Ingrid took pride in her home. She loved all animals, gardening, and taking walks. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Whether going out to lunch or just visiting with them.
She is survived by 3 children: Michael (Teresa) Kruse, Michelle (Jeff) Jostad, Todd (Kelli) Bailey. 8 grandchildren: Corina (David) Konkus, Carey (Andrea) Downey, Dana (Chris) Siegel, Cory Kruse, Joshua Jostad (partner Taylor), Dalton (Alicia) Bailey, Landon Bailey, Payton Bailey (partner Kate). 7 Great-grandchildren and one on the way: Logan and Dylan Downey-Piper, Evelyn and Aubree Siegel, Weston and Jackson Bailey. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, sister Inge Kollmann, Harry Kruse, George Bailey, nephew Ralph Kollmann, and her Great-granddaughter Trinity Jostad.
Friends and family may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere on Thursday from 4:00PM – 7:00PM. Visitation will continue Friday at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd., De Pere, until time of service at 11:00AM with Pastor Cindy Warmbier – Meyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to go toward "Get Toby Home", or any local animal shelter, or plant a tree in her honor.
Special thanks to the members of Bristol Hospice for her special care, especially her nurse Katie whom Ingrid loved to sit and visit.
