Irene Hockers, 78, Ashwaubenon passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010. She was born January 1, 1932 to the late Stanley and Gertrude (Michalski) Charneski. On November 6, 1954 she married John R. Hockers in Green Bay. Irene enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Door County and winters in Florida. Irene and her husband John owned Hockers Brick, which John was a 4th generation owner. Above all else Irene's greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her children; Linda (Russ) Vann, Michael (Mary) Hockers, Connie (Jess) Brault, Susan (Larry) Karner, Richard Hockers, Patrick (Jill) Hockers, Paul (Teri) Hockers, and Ray (Anita) Hockers. Further survived by 19 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Two sisters and a sister in law; Betty Kubiak, Darlene Charneski, and Janet (Gerry) Van Gheem. John's family also survives; Pat (Charlie) Denis, Janet (John) Stengel, Frank Carter, Rita Giese and Kathy Norgaard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John R. on May 12, 2007. Her brother Dick Charneski and her sister in law Donna Mae Carter and brother in law Jerry Kubiak.
Friends may call after 3pm Friday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 2270 S. Oneida Street in Ashwaubenon until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6pm with Fr. Benjamin Sember officiating.
