Irene H. Manders, 90, De Pere passed away on Monday November 22, 2010. She was born March 24, 1920 in the Twsp. of Wrightstown to the late Charles and Gertrude (Lasee) Van De Walle. On September 6, 1938 she married Manfred Manders at St. Mary Catholic Church. Irene lovingly raised her children. She liked to make quilts, crochet, and play cards with family and friends. When Irene moved to De Pere in 1988 she became a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church (Our Lady of Lourdes). She is survived by her children; Norbert (Janice) Manders, Elaine (Jim) Lutz, Wilbert (Betty) Manders, Rosemary (Bernard) Kane, Darlene (Richard) Moens, Pat (Gene) Beatty, Helen (Mark) Matzke, Edward (Debbie) Manders, Reuben (Sue) Manders, Ken Manders, Robert (Connie) Manders, Thomas (Delores) Manders, Lorraine (Jeff) Trochta, and Bernard (Shari) Manders. Irene is further survived by 36 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Manfred on August 11, 1996, her son Donald in 1967, and 3 grandchildren; David Fassbender Jr., Jennifer Manders, and Dillon Dobberpuhl.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive De Pere on Saturday November 27, 2010 after 9am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem and Fr. Charles Brooks officiating.
