Iris Rosella Seroogy, 90, De Pere, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, August 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 22, 1931, to Charles and Rose (Gilson) Roberts. She was one of ten children, but was more like one in a million.

In August 1957, Iris married Bernard Seroogy and began to create the foundation that so many now stand upon. They were married for 42 years. Bernie passed away on July 31, 1999. Iris's sons, Kim (Kerstin) Seroogy and Marty (Partner Tami Jackson) Seroogy, were the loves of her lives. Her time with them was spent teaching them all about family and how to care exponentially about others. She was the center of everyone's lives she touched. Her home and her heart were always open to all.

Survivors include Charles "Junior", her brother and great friend, with whom she shared many laughs. The most precious of all gifts Iris ever received was in the form of her grandchildren, to whom she left a piece of herself: Erik Seroogy, Patrick Seroogy, Melissa (Ben) White, Jennifer (Zachary) DeSwarte, Michelle (Jeremy) Beauprey, and Jessica (Charles) Gille. She was also survived by an ex-daughter-in-law who was like her own: Brenda Seroogy. Her pride and joy came in the form of her many great-grandchildren: Briana, Cameron, Antonio, Evelyn, Jayden, Landon, Hayden, Carter, Sophie, Leila, Mason, and Rosella.

Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Green Bay Packers games were where Iris found herself the most content: surrounded by her family—unless the Packers were losing because then she was "going home at half-time." While there are countless memories and people who would recall her amazing cookies, muffins and funny quips, she often joked that she wanted people to remember that "she was a good shit".

Iris was proceeded in death by her husband, Bernie, both of her parents, and 8 of her siblings: Irone "Chuck", Fern, Quentin, Abbie, Ruby, Clifford, Doris, and Gladys. She was also proceeded in death by her great-granddaughter, Isabella "Bella".

Friends may call on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth St. in De Pere. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 9am -10:15am. Mass of Christian

Burial will be held at 10:30am with Fr. James Baraniak, O. Praem officiating.
