IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jack Andrew
Felton
September 4, 2023 – June 3, 2024
Jack Andrew Felton passed away as a result of Trisomy 18 on June 3, 2024. He was born September 4, 2023 to Debbie Douglas and Jamel Felton.
Jack was our hero. He displayed bravery and "sisu" throughout his short life, taking on medical exams and procedures often without a tear. We'd like to think he taught the doctors and staff at the hospital that trisomy 18 is compatible with life and how best to treat others that may come after him. He spent the first 7 months of his life in the hospital and the nurses would often "fight" over who got to care for him and even spoke about wanting to take him home at the end of their shift due to his sweet disposition.
Jack loved snuggles, looking at his "aquarium", sticking out his little tongue and crossing his eyes to concentrate and figure out his world, dancing to any kind of music, figuring out new noises and "growls" he could make to get our attention and most of all playing with his siblings especially Janyah, Max and Lily.
Jack is survived by his parents, Debbie and Jamel; grandparents, Cheryl and John Mattson, Jennifer Simon and Jimmy Knight.; siblings, Jamel, Jimmy, Deedee, Jamarri, Janyah, Max and Lily; aunties Jamelia, Monique and Denise and uncles Jacques, Marquise and Darryl.
He was preceded in death by his uncles Jimmy and Marcus as well as multiple great aunts, uncles and grandparents. His namesakes were Debbie's beloved grandfather Jacob "Jack" Komula and Jamel's beloved "grandfather" Andrew Booker who we believe watched over him here and were thrilled to take him into their arms in heaven.
Family and friends may visit at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 8, 2024. A short prayer service will take place at 11:30 a.m. and will be livestreamed through the link on this page.
A special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and therapists at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI for loving Jack as much as we did and never giving up on him.
