James "Jim" De Ruyter, 78, Hobart, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was born March 26, 1945, to the late Herbert and Rose (Smith) De Ruyter.

Jim's passion was working the land, especially driving tractor. He was a lifelong member of St. Boniface/Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Jim is survived by his siblings; Dick (Sue) De Ruyter, Paul (Sandy) De Ruyter, Diane (Jim) Smurawa, Mary (Mike) Kangas, Roy (Rhonda) De Ruyter, LuAnn (Darrell) Boulanger, sister-in law Marsha De Ruyter, his friend Pam Anncoen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathy, and brothers Joseph and Jeff.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Catholic Church, De Pere from 9:00AM Friday, June 23,2023 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak officiating.
