Obituary

James (Jim) Martinson, 50, passed away in Lubbock, TX on September 19, 2017. He was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on November 16, 1966. He was the second child of Joseph and Elaine Rass Martinson. Jim Grew up in Green Bay and later married Kim Coppersmith. Jim loved his two precious daughters Ashlie (Jed) Popp and their children: Sophia and Sawyer of Amberg, WI, and Jordan Martinson (special friend Jake Kush) and their daughter Mayci of Omaha NE. Jim is further survived by his parents; sisters: Tina Huettl, Julie (Spencer) Spaude, and Tricia (Matt) Vorpahl; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Jim was preceded in death by a grandson Jaxon, his maternal grandparents Grace and Wilfred Rass and paternal grandparents Betty and Joe Martinson. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed time spent with his uncle Milt doing these things and his first beagle from him. Family and friends may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, 145 St. Joseph Dr, Oneida. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM with Fr.
