James Edward McVane, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 16 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 5, 1936 to Edward and Martha (Hart) McVane. James married Jean Helen Mathias on December 30, 1955 and she preceded him in death on December 13, 1978. He then married Carole Peterson on June 9, 1973 and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2012. James hauled milk early on in his working career and then he worked at Thompson Boat until he started employment at UPS in January 1965. He was a driver at UPS until his retired from there in February of 1998. James had also held the position of union steward for the local union. After his retirement, James drove coach bus for LouAnn Coach. James is survived by his children: James (Jana) McVane, Barb (Larry) Jarosinski, and Barry (Deb) McVane; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three step children; a sister Judith Wilke; brother Bernard McVane. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Jean Helen; his second wife Carole Marie; two sisters Minnie Stanukinos and Dolly Martin; his half-brother Joe McVane; and half-sister Mary Bauer.
