James Thomas "Mickey" Orde, 86, Ashwaubenon, passed away on Tuesday August 3, 2021. He was born May 17, 1935, to the late Louis and Ruth (Manson) Orde. Jim graduated from West De Pere High School, and then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1975, attaining the rank of SFC (Sergeant First Class), and receiving both the the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. On October 5, 1957, he was united in marriage to Irene Spahn in Gelnhausen, Germany. After returning to the states, he was employed at the Green Bay Correctional Institution, retiring after 20 years as a Lt. Correctional Officer. Jim always saw the good in whomever he met, he was loved by so many people, especially his family. A very special husband to Irene, loving dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, He was an exceptional man.
Jim enjoyed golfing, walking, skiing, traveling, and visiting with people, but it was the times with his family that he cherished the most.
He is survived by his wife Irene Orde, their children; Denise (Brian) Burns, and James Orde. Grandchildren; Cody (Rachael) Orde, Tanner (Abby) Orde, Brooklyn Demuth, and Shawn (Kristy) Demuth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Orde, his sister Maureen Gorenc, and daughter-in-law Theresa Orde.
Friends may visit from 4:00PM – 6:00PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. Visitation will continue after 10:00AM Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Green Bay, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Full military rites to follow.
